This is a delayed post.

We were in Prague from November 8 to 12,  four nights.   I thought I would not be comfortable in my hotel room but I survived the first night and became at ease on the following nights.  In fact,  I got to like my bed.    I didn’t enjoy the view from the window as much as I enjoyed Budapest’s River Danube sweeping view.  My sister’s room didn’t have a river view although that was what I booked.  I tried to refund the room rate difference but the front desk didn’t want to.    I didn’t want to stress out for a few euro so I just let her be.   Her room turned out to be better than mine because it was away from the street noise, motor vehicles, and it was a lot bigger than mine.

We have good memories of our short and relaxed stay in Prague.

We didn’t join any group tour so we could just do our own thing at our own pace.  I knew exactly where to bring my sister and niece that’s why I didn’t see any need to fill our schedules joining group tours.

Everyday we enjoyed our buffet breakfast at the hotel.  We would go back to our respective rooms and Kimberly would take a nap while Aileen catches up on Tagalog teleserye or movies.   In my own room,  I just rested too.

We see each other again around noon.  We walked around, go to the square, eat, drink, window shop, eat, then shop again for tiny souvenirs that would not add weight nor volume to what we already have.

manufaktura body salt scrub

I spent several minutes deciding on whether to buy (too heavy) or not to buy (I liked the smell a lot).
body scrub, sea salt, Manufaktura

As much as I wanted to, I couldn’t buy this salt body scrub because it’s so heavy. The plates and table cloths weighed like bricks so any additional weight, I couldn’t take. Edmund is back in Manila and no one would carry my luggage for me.
Hmmm…. I hate to see you go but this is goodbye. Next time I promise.

Cute but heavy,  nope.

Len and Kimberly, Manufaktura, Prague Nov 2015

From Manufactura,  we walked towards the square.  This place is where tourists congregate.   There are a dozen stalls near the clock that open at night.  They sell local goodies and handicrafts.

The luxury brand stores close at 7 pm.
Gucci in Prague

We went inside the Hermes store but they have very few bag styles.  The orange So Kelly shoulder bag is nice but from my opinion  it doesn’t justify the hefty tag price.  Pass.

Len liked this style but she was looking for the gold stamping that says Hermes Made in France. Without that, the bags would look like any ordinary bag.

There’s a cluster of souvenir shops right in front of our hotel. We rested for a while then went out again. We did some last minute shopping for Russian dolls, ref magnets, etc.

This set sells for Euro 100. I bought a smaller size with only 7 Santas for Euro 70.
