LBC Overnight Delivery

Instead of sending a driver to personally deliver some important documents to Nida who lives in Mendez, Cavite, I sent my staff to LBC in Greenhills. They assured my staff that the package would be delivered the following day (Saturday) around noon. Nida needed to file the documents by Monday morning.
LBC didn’t deliver the documents on Saturday as promised. Nor did they show up on Sunday or Monday.

I started calling their branch in
Greenhills on Monday afternoon but there was no answer. I called again on Tuesday morning at 9:30 am but there was no answer. Maybe they open at 10 am. I dialed their Customer Care Hot line 8585-999 on Tuesday at 10:57 am and I was able to speak to a certain Tet. She said the document is in their central warehouse and there’s no instruction for delivery. Huh? I was so irritated and I asked what was the reason. She couldn’t tell because she didn’t know. If I had known that they would not be able to deliver it by monday morning, I could have sent my driver to Nida either on Saturday or Sunday morning. I trusted that they would be able to deliver it even if not 24 hours but before Monday. Those documents needed to be filed by Monday or else I risk paying the additional 300% increase in zonal valuation which was scheduled to take effect on Monday.
How unreliable. Tet was asking me if the recipient would come and pick it up. I paid for door to door delivery. They have the complete address and cellphone number of Nida. I told her to have it delivered soonest— asap, right now! Tet said she would send the request to their warehouse. She promised to give me a feedback asap.

By 1 pm, still no message from LBC. I called 8585-999 again at 1:05 pm. A certain Rod answered. He/she told me the same thing. The documents were still in their central warehouse. Huh again! And there was no instruction that it should be delivered. HUH HUH HUH????
That means the TET that I spoke with at 10:57 am didn’t do her job. She didn’t instruct their dispatcher to send the documents to Nida right away. In two hours, they could have done something already. The documents could have been delivered to Nida. But no, nothing.

Rod started asking me about the delivery address. Saan daw malapit, saan daw yun, yung barangay, bahay ba yun, etc. Nay ko po, susmaryosep ako pa tatanungin. I felt so frustrated.

Moral lesson: Do not rely on the 24 hour delivery. Call to follow-up and don’t stop till after they’ve delivered the documents. Had I not called, baka until now my documents would still be in their warehouse.

Nida sent me an envelope yesterday from Cavite. It should arrive before noon today or else Nida has to contact LBC. Call their Customer Care 8585999.
Hello, 96 hours delivery!
