I borrowed the Uber driver’s charger because my battery was almost empty. The lady driver named Flora and I were so engrossed in our conversation about her life in Vegas, her daughter, club strippers, the gunman and when I got off, I totally forgot to unplug my phone. I borrowed someone else’s phone to call my number and I was glad Flora answered. She was back in 10 minutes and I gave her $10 tip for the trouble.
Flora is only 42 and yet she already has a 24 year old daughter. She is the reason why Flora moved to Las Vegas a year ago, to be with her daughter, who is her best friend, soul mate, a shoulder to cry on, confidante, etc.
She said there are parents who don’t like their children.
She told me her favorite passengers are the club stripteasers. Someone earned $12,200 in 5 hours after one super wealthy guy from Morocco took a liking on her. He brought her around the world, bought her jewelries, etc. She has stopped working in clubs since then. He sends her $20,000 a month allowance and she travels every now and then with him.
Flora said how she wished she’s not 42 years old or else she would also like to become a stripper. She asked me, “don’t you want to be a stripper too and earn thousands a night?” I didn’t know what to say. She said “I bet you do. Don’t you want to earn thousands of dollars?”
I said “No, I don’t want to be a stripper. And even if I wanted to I don’t think any club would hire me. Their customers might throw up when I started dancing”.
Dios mio, itong mukha kong ito at itong katawan kong sobra-sobra sa korte, puro bulges, magiging stripper? Baka mademanda pa ako, magtai at suka mga customers nila.
