My daughter and I agree that we should rename Ninoy Aquino International Airport or NAIA back to Manila International Airport or MIA just like during the Marcos time. We have nothing but respect for the family of Ninoy Aquino, Cory Aquino, former president Noynoy Aquino and Kris Aquino. But we should just rename our airport as MIA and never to change it regardless of who becomes president. Even if we will have new heroes in the future, let’s keep the airport’s name as it is and don’t keep on changing it. There are many ways of honoring and showing respect for a man who did our country good. We don’t have to keep on changing the names of streets, places and airports.
Manila International Airport has better name recall and goodwill because it has MANILA’s name on it.
