October 19 Saturday
After seven and a half hours train ride, we’re finally here in Leuchars, the train station closest to St. Andrews.
Contrary to our plan to eat dinner first before boarding a cab, there’s not a single soul here when we arrived. And it’s a small station, no food stall whatsoever.
It was surreal when we got off the train under heavy fog, zero visibility.
It felt like I was stepping into an old period movie.
E———-‘Oh ayan, di ba mahilig ka sa fog?”
It was drizzling, pitch dark, foggy. I couldn’t see what’s around me. A little scary too.
Our plan B in case we couldn’t find a taxi, was to contact the hotel so they could pick us up. We felt so relieved when we saw a few taxis waiting. At saka safe na safe dito, walang ipit gang.
