After the long Christmas and New Year holidays, after Pope Francis, life continues.
1. Someone told me that eating OKRA controls blood sugar, thus preventing diabetes. I will now eat more okra.
2. Oyen continues with her health regimen, exercise and food control.
3. While her mother continues to eat unhealthy and fattening food like this fried banana saba with cheese.
4. Daughter still doesn’t eat pork for the love of poor pigs.
5. Fried chicken is still Antonia’s top ulam choice. She pairs it with every thing. Tinolang manok, bip pilit, pansit palabok, adobong baboy.
6. I continue to meet and gain new friends thru my blog. Just had a surprise visit from Josie Cornejo from Paranaque. A very nice lady, she opted for early retirement from her juicy position as one of Citibank’s vice presidents. Aside from being an OMB reader, she has become one of our valued Ford clients.
7. My stress from the lots in Wawa, Binangonan is still here. My lawyer is tasked to finish the documentations ASAP so I could transfer na lang to their names the properties. Those are valuable lands. Lalo na ngayon mahal na ang mga lupa pero ganun talaga. My parents let their driver, workers, relatives, and maids stayed there with their families. I am sure my parents had no intention to give the lots away but hindi mo na sila mapapaalis dun kaya hayan, ako ang nagmana ng problema at gastos. Bayaran na naman ng amelyar ngayong January.
8. To many, struggle to survive continues. Nagsisikap sila para kumita ng pera.
9. Balik pila na naman. Hours of waiting to buy a ticket and get an MRT ride.
10. Traffic never left me. It only gave me a day or two break, and now it’s back with a vengeance. One hour and forty minutes going home last Tuesday. Two hours and ten minutes on Wednesday. Today is Friday. I don’t know yet.
11. Bus scrimmages continue. “Mama (manong) pwede bang paki abante ang bus mo, naka harang, hindi kami maka daan”.
12. The kasambahay challenge continues. There’s always something new to discover about them.
I noticed the receipts from the market were written by the same person even if the item came from different stores.
She’s making her own receipts.
13. Husband still loves golf and would in fact try to snatch the golf club championship tomorrow. Masakit daw ang bewang.
He’s wearing pink shorts, a Christmas gift from her daughter.
14. I’ve been having migraine attacks this past week, everyday meron. Baka kasi sa kai-imagine ko dun sa watches.
