Life Peg

I’ve been getting lots of comments lately saying that I am their life peg.  Sigurado these are young people.

That is a big compliment  so I guess that’s good.  The bad thing is, that means I am old,  really, really old.

That’s the reality so I should actually rejoice, that I have reached this age, this far.     Many people die very young, some haven’t even began their journey.   Many are not given the chance to grow old.

I am now in the OLD ladies segment, so that’s a big blessing.   Ugliness comes with oldness,  I just have to accept both.    I’ve been asked not once if I have a senior citizen’s card.   At least that’s good,  I will get a discount when I buy Lipitor and Aspirin from Mercury Drug.

I don’t know how to feel with this new compliment of being other young people’s peg.   Maybe I did not do bad afterall.

Kids are perceptive and they probably see something in me that they think is good.  I am not trying to patronize myself nor magpa-humble effect.  I just want to make sure that they are reading me right.   I don’t want to be a bad influence to young people.

I have made lots of mistakes in my life, and I am sure, I would still make mistakes as long as I live.  No matter how I try to be perfect, I can never be one.

My life has  been full of challenges,  wins, losses, happiness, sadness. It has  lots of  exclamation points,  question marks, colons.   I hope when the period (.) comes,  my life story  would have a happy ending.

What you read on ohmybuhay is me and nothing but the real me.  I do not draft nor plan my topics beforehand.  I just throw everything here.  There could be some good, there could be some bad.
