After lunch in Sirince, we drove for maybe half hour to Naturel leather factory also around Ephesus, where we were treated to a live fashion show of models wearing beautiful leather jackets.
We were provided with pencils and papers to mark those we get to like, and hopefully to buy.
There’s a cottage where they hold the show on a regular basis because of the stream of tourists brought there by the tour guides. Can you imagine the hundreds of tourists that come every day?
Edmund whispered that those jackets must be two hundred dollars. I said no, at least a thousand dollars each.
Towards the end of the show, the models picked several persons from the audience and dressed them with nice leather wear. Syempre, potential buyers!
After the fashion show, we were ushered to the next cottage where some introductions were made including the sales pitch that this jacket was made for Gucci? or Gucci style.
Price tag? It’s — hold on to your chair– Four thousand dollars, minus the discount of 50%, minus some more some more, then it’s down to a thousand. See? I told you. It’s at least a thousand dollars.
This is a haven for leather jacket fanatics with deep pockets and living in cold countries.
Ang soft-soft ng leather, but our wallets are stiff-stiff.
I think they sold at least seven pieces of jackets to our companions. Nadine bought a nice red one for herself, Beth two, one for her and one for her spouse, Mon and Susan bought two or three pieces while Sid bought a nice black Gucci-style.
Kami, matigas ang waley, kaya sit-sit na lang.
I don’t blame you guys for not buying anyway you don;t need it w/the weather in the Phil.
