I think our maids have a heyday when we are traveling.
Countless items have disappeared and most of them we wouldn’t be able to account. I am going to lock the guest room on the ground floor. There were so many things there that have disappeared already. The cabinets are almost empty, eh ang dami kong housewares dun that haven’t been used. I think it’s a smart idea to keep that room locked.
A friend told me that when her sister in law was moving to a new home, that was the only time she discovered that all the boxes on top of her cabinets were emptied of their contents. Those were expensive bags, clothes, shoes, and expensive home decors and personal accessories. Puro empty boxes na lang.
I don’t know how to lock all our cabinets, very difficult.
I have some fine china in the auxiliary kitchen cabinets. Today, I moved them to my small curio cabinet in the living room.

This cabinet has an old fashioned keyhole, pero tila isang hila lang, no effort needed, bubukas na agad. Ang daling sungkitin nito.
I also transferred a set of silver cutlery.
I don’t know if it’s worth having strangers in the house. Dagdag gastos and dagdag stress.
