May 27, 2014, Paris
We were still a little full from the crepe fromage so we walked some more along the avenue. Then at almost 9 pm, we went to Leon de Bruxelles at 6 Avenue des Champs Elysees just around the corner from Chateau Frontenac where Edmund and I stayed the last time. Leon is about 50 meters from Laduree.
It’s not necessary to have a prior reservation but during peak hours and weekends, there could be some wait. Edmund and I had seen a Filipino family waiting in line outside the restaurant at 10 pm.
I always come to Leon every time I am in Paris. No need for fine dining on my birthday. I am content with our activities today including buying that Chanel sandals more expensive than a round trip ticket on economy class from Los Angeles to Manila and back.
Oyen was overwhelmed with the size of her order.
Their orders came with a choice of dessert. Yen and I shared in her gelato. I got the vanilla, hers the coffee flavor.
Nyke’s creme brulee. He said Chez Clement’s tasted better.
We finished dinner at 10 pm. We took a cab back to Mercure Hotel because I didn’t want to walk in the dungeons of the subway. It’s late and my body was aching from rayuma. I paid Euro 18 for the taxi.
