Since the year 2000, the number of romantic tourists pledging their forever love for each other by putting a pad lock somewhere in the city they’ve visited have increased in number. This tradition including the throwing away of the keys date back in the 1800.
The love lock is supposedly a symbol of the romantic couple’s everlasting love. They are signed and some are even professionally engraved with the couple’s names.
Visitors or maybe even the locals in Budapest have started their own Love Lock spot too, near the ferris wheel. Far from the volume of pad locks at the Pont des Arts, this thing is sure to increase in number.
In Paris, the city recently cleared the Pont des Arts bridge of hundreds of thousands of pad locks for fear of damage to the bridge’s structure.
Nope, Edmund and I didn’t put our own love lock. He bought 4 pad locks contra laglag bala not to pledge his love for me. But to make sure no bullets could intentionally land inside his luggage.

Isn’t it ‘tanim bala’ is the more appropriate term than ‘laglag bala’? Just my thoughts.
I thought so too, but some news articles referred to it as laglag bala, ginaya ko lang. Maybe it’s a matter of semantics.
