Lucien is a name of a French male. The Italian equivalent is Lucio or Luciano. There are many known individuals in Europe with that given name. There’s also a Saint Lucien. The brother of Napoleon Bonaparte is named Lucien.
I met a guy named Lucien last Thursday. He came to my office together with five other women and Butz. I noticed that his demeanor was different. He was very proper and fluent in English.
While I was teaching the women about basic business processes, he listened intently and looked like he understood everything that I explained to his companions.
I turned to him and asked him to tell me his story.
He said he was a full scholar at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. He graduated in 1977 with a degree in BS Chemical Engineering.
He taught Science, Shop work in Electronics and Computer and other technology subjects at TUP.
In 1989 he finished BS in Electrical Engineering at the Amang Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology.
He took additional 18 units in Education and passed the Licensure Examination for teachers, take one.
As if his engineering diplomas were not sufficient, in year 2000, he finished his Master in Technology from Technological University of the Philippines in Manila and later on, Doctorate in Technology.
He retired in 2015 at the age of 60.
He is a consultant on livelihood projects at the Tahanang Walang Hagdan, conducting lectures about productivity.
Lucien—- “I was happy I was successful in my career, coming from nothing to something”.
Lucien’s advise to people with disability:
1. Do not hide. Show who you really are despite your disability.
2. Use your maximum potential.
3. Share your knowledge to humanity.
4. Destiny is given by God, anytime he could take everything back.
x x x “I was happy I was successful in my carrier, coming from nothing to something”.x x x
You quoted him. Did he really say that he was successful in his carrier? Why will he say ‘was’ when he is still successful up to the present and why ‘carrier’ unless he is also successful in repairing airconditioners.
Dear reviewer,
Yes he said “was”. He is retired maybe that’s the reason why he used past tense.
Thank you for pointing out the lapse in spelling. There are hundreds more. You can very well be my editor. I would love that, but let’s reduce the sarcasm.
