Yesterday’s lunch was at Apartment 1B with the Johan Strauss ladies. I haven’t attended their events for almost a year now so nahiya na ako talaga so I went out of my way to join them for lunch although I was a bit worried about the friday traffic.
I came from an 11 am meeting in Legazpi Village so I thought I would be late. I arrived at 12:35 and only 3 people were there. I was early pa pala.
I’ve been to the one in Legaspi Village once, I didn’t know they opened another branch in Rockwell. Not surprisingly, I don’t check out new restaurants naman. I always go to the same family favorites.
I was still actually full from my earlier breakfasts. First with husband, second with daughter.
Took half hour and two follow-ups “waiter, order ko?” before my spaghetti vongole arrived.
Manolyn couldn’t decide whether to order pork chops or baby back ribs. She asked me about the pork chop. I didn’t know if that was good because it was my first time at this restaurant. She went for the more expensive Baby Back Ribs upon the recommendation of the waiter. She was served two slabs. She couldn’t finish them so she took home one slab.
Lilibeth split this sandwich with another lady.
And how did it come about that one S refers to a barren land / sand, double it and it turns into divine sweets? Who invented these two words?
The glamorous ladies (minus 1 me) of Johan Strauss: Olga Martel, Lilibeth Campos, Fortune Ledesma, Fannie, Nini, Monalyn, Rose,
Customers don’t know that this toilet door is see through when the person is standing closer to the door. Immediately after entering the door, ladies lift their skirts up and pull down their panties, not realizing that they could be seen from the outside. The men tuck in their glory and zip up while facing the door. I am about to throw up. This glass door must be covered.
