Although we were running late for our next vineyard appointment, we managed to squeeze in some time to have our lunch at Boon Fly Cafe, also owned and operated by Carneros Resort and Spa.

There was a long waiting list. Kesyo 30 minutes daw to 45 minutes. We were already outside when I decided to go back inside the restaurant and talk to the waiter possibly to hustle a table. I asked if we could sit at the bar, pwede daw, and no need to wait.

Prices of food have risen considerably. Before, main dishes cost $8 or $10. Seldom do we find a $17 breakfast meal. Ngayon kape pa lang $6 na plus service charge plus tax plus tip. Onionn rings $9 na, dati ay porterhouse steak na yan, ngayon sibuyas pa lang.
The brown bread is delicious.

I didn’t expect that the corned beef hash would be good for four people. We tend to over-order. Oyen likes to have appetizers so waiters think we still have guests coming for lunch. We are also forgetting that we have two weddings to attend. She’s the bride and I am the mother of the bride. One sexy and one fatty.
