This tour pace is more relaxed daw, not go go go but I find it more difficult to keep up with the slower pace than a faster schedule. My adrenaline is down because ang bagal ng kilos namin. This lunch is a perfect example. It’s a three hour lunch at the Michelin recommended 105 year old restaurant, Gundel. I felt so tired sitting for 3 hours. I would rather have a 1- 1/2 hour lunch, then spend the other half sleeping or better still, shopping. This would keep my adrenaline high for the next tour activity.
Gundel is not a Michelin star restaurant, but had been recommended or nominated several times. That means they must be doing something extraordinary with the food and service.
Karoly Gundel took over the lease on this building in 1910 from a previous restaurant called Wampetics which opened in 1894.
We’re curious as to what Gundel offers.
Their china is made by Szolnay, founded in 1853 and one of the oldest porcelain manufacturer in Hungary. It received the grand prize in 1878 at the World Fair in Paris.

The head chef behind me kept on making buntung-hininga, kasi we stopped them a few times from opening the aluminum covers kasi nagpi-picture pa kami. Puro ONE MORE! One more! Eto pa, camera ko, One more!
Ready for the surprise
Main course revealed.
Madalas people mistook Yen and Len as daughter and mother.

It was a tiring 3 hour lunch. We dragged our feet after than. Too full, too tired, too sleepy.
