I had lunch meeting with two ladies at Cafe Juanita last wednesday. I thought I was late, yun pala sila ang late considering their office is actually walking distance,
I didn’t get bored naman waiting for almost an hour.
I was given a table on the mezzanine.
I could smell something old, baka kako yung table cloth. I smelled it, amoy Tide naman. It could be the table napkins, I smelled it, amoy Mister Clean naman, mukhang meron pang Downy. Ano kaya yung amoy luma, pati kamay ko amoy luma na.
I smelled my Christian Dior bag, nanay ko po, eto pala ang amoy baul na.
Eh talaga naman itong super luma na. My son was 10 years old when I bought this, eh ngayon beinte singko na sya.
Last year, I thought of giving it away pero bigla kong naisip gamitin uli. Kahit muknang old na talaga. Kala ko mukhang luma lang, amoy luma rin pala.
I thought I would be eating by myself, at long last my ka-mitings arrived at almost 1 pm.
We all liked the cat fish salad, since ang konti ng serving, we ordered another one.
CRispy okoy, I forgot the ENT told me not avoid spicy food. I only remembered when I started coughing.
We were three so dapat eksakto sa amin itong three prawns. No, hindi kasya, because they were tiny. The prawns, not the ladies. I didn’t get na my share, I gladly gave it up, kunwari sawa na ako sa prawns. “Oh kunin mo na itong isa kasi kagabi hipon na ang ulam ko”. That’s not true. Ginisang upo ang ulam ko.
They shared three tiny pieces of turon while I had one piece of banana con yelo. One piece lang because I just wanted to be able to drink milk for my calcium intake.
