Our recent Women’s Business Council meeting was held at the condo of Sabsy Palanca.
Some condominium lobbies make me feel like I’m in a four star hotel.
Still, I find it weird that I am supposed to be going home but there are strangers in my lobby. With that said, I am not yet convinced to live higher….. in a tall building.
Riding in the elevator several times a day?
This’ Sabsy’s driver. They ran out of cooking gas.
The minute I entered her 305 square meters condo in Salcedo Village, Sabsy Palanca stood up and said “Someone is pregnant. Congratulations!”
“I wish, but I am not pregnant, I just have a big stomach”.
Butete look!
Rather than seeing your neighbor’s wall and alulod, living in a condo could provide some nice view if you’re on a higher floor. Hindi ka masisilipan ng mga kapitbahay. Pwera na lang kung merong NASA telescope si neighbor across the building.
Sabsy’s table is bigger than a king bed. They cut it into three to move it up to her unit. She has a collection of teakwood furniture, and other Balinese or Asian inspired decor.
Too bad only few of us came. The gracious hostess prepared food for 20 people.
Delicious Queso Manchego from La Mancha in Spain. I think she bought this in New York.
Sabsy has a collection of ceramic and porcelain vases.
This adorns a whole wall in the dining area.
This is what I liked the most. She turned this wooden cabinet into a cutleries storage. Very good idea. I am thinking of doing the same thing. I just don’t have a space. And a cabinet.
Sabsy’s kusinera has been with her for 15 years. Masarap ang luto nya talaga.
Bangus lumpia with sawsawan na suka. I ate 4 pieces.
Her cook also prepared this guinumis. Sabsy frequently invites friends and family over, kaya her kusinera is already used to preparing several dishes for guests.
turon with langka was the finale.
Sabsy fired two of her maids because they stole money from her. One stole P5,000 while the other one took P8,000. Those money did not belong to Sabsy. They were funds raised for some livelihood projects.
