Ambassador Reuben Levermore - Oh My Buhay

Ambassador Reuben Levermore

Philippines, Inc. had lunch today with the new New Zealand Ambassador to the Philippines Reuben Levermore. He’s been assigned in Manila for six months now and we were flattered when he said that he liked it here.

I arrived at Lolo Dad’s Brasserie in Makati second to RP Manhit.

When I saw this guy going up the stairs, I thought he was the deputy because he looked much younger than what I had expected. I was expecting to see an older Ambassador.

Lolo Dad’s prepared a special menu for the Ambassador and us:

Heart of Romaine Caesar salad with King Salmon, grilled Chorizo and Crispy Pancetta, soft boiled egg and parmesan cheese crouton

P1110696

Shrimp cacciucco with scampi flavoured with cayenne, fleuron and herb foam

P1110697

Char-grilled New Zealand Eye of Ribeye Steak with Stewed Wagyu beef pie, shallots confit and sauteed mushrooms. This was really good and tender. I couldn’t finish it though so I shared it with my colleague.
