Maid abuse - Oh My Buhay

Vanessa is bleeding due to polyps. She’s going home to Laguna for medical check-up and treatment.
I advised her not to seek employment far from her children. She could ask for assistance from her sister working in HK as a nurse, to start a small business like selling vegetables or fruits in the market.
She’s a single mom with 4 children.

When she told me the other day that she’s leaving, I didn’t make any move to stop her.
She’s willing to stay kung pipigilan ko sya. I never stop maids from leaving. They should be happy where ever they are.

Vanessa

Vanessa told me that two of the maids that were employed on the same day she was brought here by the employment agency texted her. They, Jazmine and Beth were brought to an employer from the province. They are asking for help to get them out of their misery.

According to Vanessa, the two girls, Jazmine, 25, and Beth, 32++, are employed at the residence of a politician who’s a congressman or used to be a congressman. Their family is very powerful in their province.
The old man, calls Jazmine to his room on the second floor and makes her masterb—e him and make her do other things. They are so scared everytime he would call her but they couldnd’t do anything. They couldn’t leave because the house is surrounded by body guards. According to Vanessa, Jazmine and Beth are asking for the help of the employment agency to get them out. The employer apparently know they want to leave but he is asking them to return what he paid for their expenses including their transportation.

I was appalled after hearing this story. I messaged the employment agency to help these two girls.
If the allegations are true, they should go to DSWD. This is clearly sexual abuse. This is considered RAPE.
It’s against Republic Act 9262 of 2004- Anti crime of violence against women and children.

Tonight, the agency texted me and informed me that they’re already helping the women leave.
I will follow up tomorrow if indeed they were saved from this tragic situation.
