December 9, 2017
Our Christmas parties used to be on different dates and venues. It was tiring also because we have to attend several parties. We tried a joint party in 2013 and it worked. The employees got to know their colleagues from the other offices. From then on we hold joint parties and the companies take turns hosting them.
Last year the party was held in Ford Cainta unfortunately I missed all the a-la Boracay beach party complete with fire dance. This year it’s Makati Ford again.
The theme is sports. I didn’t know that Makati Ford ordered a shorts and a t-shirt for me. The t-shirt is too small, kasya nung 12 years old ako. The shorts kasya pero ang sagwa.
I didn’t know what to wear. My two Pinoy Big Brother housemates were ready with their white pants and blue t-shirts while me— still trying on clothes that could fit me or more like my stomach.
Edmund had his Crispa Redmanizers jacket washed that morning so I could wear it over a dress or blouse.
A—-“Tart hindi bagay, ang sagwa. Pagnakatagilid ako mukha akong Christmas tree, yung korte”.
E—–“Ay di huwag kang tumagilid. HUmarap ka na lang”.
We arrived in Pasong Tamo at exactly 5 pm. There were two fish ball carts at the entrance, hired for this purpose.
Edmund was able to get some fish balls ako hindi.
My name was not at the registry. Siguro kasi lagi akong absent.
They were ready and waiting for us.
We fit that means many were absent.
Kisses is from Ford Cainta. She looks like a Dolce and Gabbana model.
Food was not good. Vicky / Kay-Anne let’s get a better caterer for next year.
Nice blue roses, kala ko fresh.
Our staff ordered a new t-shirt pala for me, this time it’s bigger.
Parang there were more attendees from Makati.
The strawberry ice cream was so delicious.
Yen rented a two arcade basketball goals for P5,000 each. The men enjoyed it. Sulit ang gastos.
A dance competition is a yearly tradition. And I am always the judge and my decision is final. No appeal. No complain. Walang crying-crying.
Ford Cainta was the defending champion.
Ford Cainta’s dance entry
Makati dancers were ready to fight and win.
The always kulelat Makati Ford delivered a flawless performance. They are the new champion.
Awards were given to those longest in service and excellent performers.
Ready to announce the winners.
To add to the suspense, I walked to the front in slow motion.
I forgot, were they part of the winning dancers?
Makati’s first ever win in our Christmas dance contest. A few times dance champion vs other dealers. Ang motto namin ng anak ko, kung mahina ka sa ibang subject, galingan mo sa art!
The winning performance. Well coordinated and executed. I gave them a perfect score of 100.
We started at 5 pm and ended at 9:30 pm, unlike in the past years, we would start at past seven and would end at almost midnight. I think it’s better to start early.
We went home before 10 pm.
I ate again when we got home kasi the food at the party was hindi masarap. The two lechon disappeared before dinner was served. Only the newspaper was left behind. We thought the lechon were still inside yun pala dyaryo na lang. Edmund and I were not able to taste it.
Thank you Lord, we survived another year. We remain grateful for all the help, support and guidance you’ve given us the past year. Thank you for helping us put food on the table and roof over the heads of many people. Please bless all our employees and their respective families. May they find peace and contentment working and staying with us. May they be loyal, trustworthy, dependable, competent. We want them to succeed and be progressive and at the same time to remain truthful, honest and sincere in all their dealings, with us, with our customers, and with their co-workers. Lord please give us good and trustworthy people only. Thank you ho.
