I was afraid to get caught in a traffic jam again so I didn’t plan on leaving the hotel. I gave the two guys a day off. I told them “magpasyal na lang kayo. Bukas hindi nyo kailangan gumising ng maaga. Pumunta kayo sa Minesview Park”.
Today was rest day for my husband before the tournament proper starts tomorrow. He wanted to have mani-pedi and me naman I wanted to have foot and leg massage.
After breakfast, he and I went to our favorite nail salon.
I couldn’t help but admire the trees.
A—-“Ang ganda ng mga puno, green na green.”
E—-“Para namang first time ka lang napunta dito.”
The older I get the more I appreciate the nature around me.
Nung araw, never nagpa mani pedi ang mga lalaki. Pero ngayon, pati sila pa-beauty na rin.
Next was a one and half hour body massage in another salon. Edmund chose to stay in a private room while I preferred to sit in their common area. Ayaw kong maghubad natatamad ako and ayaw ko lalagyan ako ng oil, ang lagkit.
The masseuse assigned to Edmund is deaf and mute. The receptionist taught Edmund how to communicate with the masseuse in case he wants to increase or decrease the pressure. Ganito sir pag tama lang (she wiggled her right hand). Ganito sir kung gusto nyo dagdagan ang pressure. She curled all her fingers to form a fist then hit the lower fist with his right (top) fist. She said that would signal the deaf mute masahista to increase the hand pressure. My husband practiced his hand signals. He wiggled his right hand with 5 fingers all spread-out. Then he formed a fist with both hands and hit the left with the right fist. I told him to make sure he makes the correct signal at baka magkamali sya ay iba ang maging interpretation. “Mag-ingat ka dyan sa signal mo at baka iba ang maging akala. Baka ma-sexual harassment tayo”.
E—hahahah.
Soaking feet in warm water for a few minutes is relaxing.
I was wearing long pants so they gave me a pair of shorts to wear. Kailan kaya nila ito huling nilabhan? Ilang lalaki na kaya nagsuot nito? I wanted to smell it to check if bagong laba, kung amoy Tide kaya lang natakot akong amuyin at baka kung ano ang maamoy ko. Oh my buhay I will now stop imagining. Tila nakikilabutan ako pero huli na. Naisuot ko na.
Few minutes hand acupressure
The masseuse usually asks if pressure is just right, and I always reply I want hard. Who wants soft anyway?
We went to Hill Station after the massage. Edmund has been on a strict diet for a month now and has lost weight considerably. Kasya na daw uli mga pantalon nya at shorts. He just had caesar salad while I had two orders of callos and one cup of rice.
Plus dessert!
There was a dad with two little boys buying ice cream. I could hear his comments regarding the price. He told his kids “Oh they’re expensive. Let’s get one scoop and you just share”.
We went back to the hotel. This is the view from our room, #249.
Husband went out to dinner with his golf teammates. I told him I would just order food in the room. And I did, fresh mushroom soup and tuna salad sandwich.
After two hours my husband was back in the room. They were not able to go out daw to the Korean BBQ restaurant because of heavy traffic outside the Baguio Country Club gate. They came back and had dinner at the Veranda.
