The Fashion Street is a short street that has a few known global brands like Zara Home, Hugo Boss, Massimo Dutti, Furla. If you walk further to the nearby streets, then there’s Zara, Mango, H&M, Orsay, Desigual, Nike, Lush Soaps, etc.
There are local vendors in the middle of Fashion street, selling handicrafts and traditional Hungarian food like beef goulash and hun-dog.
I was able to shop unhurriedly because there’s wifi in the area. Husband found a nice wooden bench and met a Filipino guy whose wife works for the PAO. They’re here for a six months work contract. He got busy chatting with the guy and also surfing the net.
I bought several embroidered table cloths, magic boxes, fruit candies, and some souvenirs. Their prices are cheaper than those with permanent stores.
Lavander scented drawers, cabinets, or room air fresheners made of white tiny rocks.
Packed paprika with wooden spoons, ceramic pots, shakers, etc. are in every souvenir store.
Candies in all shapes, sizes, colors. I bought candied pineapple and mango fruits. These are sold by the weight.
I bought several embroidered table cloths from one of the vendors. She assured me that these were handmade in a town outside of Budapest.
This is Ili, the store owner. She and her husband has a small permanent store. Aside from the cash discount, she also gave me two free jewelry boxes.
The vendors would be there till after the New Year. I want to buy more table cloths but they’re heavy. Husband’s luggage is already beyond the limit.
The fruit candies look so yummy, Ms Annie.. 🙂
And the lady bumble bee is also cute.. 😉
