It was my first time here at Marriott Cafe, Edmund’s and Julienne’s second or third. It’s not bad at all. In fact parang I like the ambiance better than Circles at the Shangri-la. I’m glad Julienne chose to have her birthday blow-out here. Nice place actually. She also got a 20% discount courtesy of Ford.
As soon as we entered the lobby, Edmund realized his anti-para (reading eyeglasses) are missing, so he called the driver back
Ang tagal nyang hinanap, his eyeglasses pala fell off his seat.
I took a photo of the lobby, I didn’t notice that that girl was Golda, they arrived 15 minutes earlier.
Private area is good for only one table.
Tempura section, several of the assistants are graduating students of culinary studies
I was surprised to see a palayok of danggit. This is good with fried rice, suka and for breakfast.
Indian cuisine section. My son was disappointed with the lamb tandoori. He has preference for lamb chops
I love this Indian something- I am having a mental block, I totally forgot what this is— dosa? mala?
Clams, I was too full to get even one piece
Alimasag con yelo.
Instead of pasta, I got some steamed rice from the Filipino foods section and made this guy cook it with shrimps and mushrooms. I told him to put toyo and garlic, naku ang alat naman. Hindi pa sya marunong tumantya. A good cook is one that doesn’t need to look at the recipe to determine how much or how little seasoning is necessary— dapat tantyado agad kahit walang tikiman.
Chinese Cuisine section, Hala kayo, I am now an authority with regards to Hainanese Chicken, masarap kaya iyan?
According to Chef See, the breasts must be malusog and plump,
This is not a Hainan Chicken, bakit may leeg pa? Dapat putol na yan.
Roast Sirloin
I am not overwhelmed when I see a parade of desserts, they’re all good to look at, but in some cases, medyo nakaka umay at sobrang lasang asukal.
I got coconut sorbet and strawberry ice cream. My son said to me “that’s what I got also, you are really my mother”.
