Marugame Monzo is a Japanese udon restaurant located in Chinatown. It’s getting to be Edmund and I’s favorite restaurant. The location is convenient, safe, food is very good, price is cheap, the food attendants are friendly, fast service.
My very first time here was in June, by myself. I had lunch in Marugame Monzo by myself again on January 2, 2017. All the tables were occupied. They were able to squeeze me in at the bar.
I ordered shrimp tempura bowl, one piece shiitake mushroom and I tried the fish cake tempura. All tasted good.
Perfect partner, flat and round shiitake mushroom tempura and long and tulis fish cake tempura.
New dish not on the regular menu list
The food attendant named MIHO knows us already. She recommended this seafood noodle soup to Edmund. Miho knows a few Tagalog words because she and her kids go to Seafood City. Her son loves Jollibee. She said she cannot understand why spaghetti should be eaten with fried chicken.
This mushroom udon was delicious too. Edmund ordered this dish the other day. I couldn’t finish one whole bowl because it was huge. Edmund took care of the rest.
