I contacted Arirang Restaurant and found out they have a private dining area. They also have good reviews.
My husband refused to go to another restaurant again to try on their food. “Pumili ka na aba, desisyonan mo na, tataba tayo sa kaka-kain”. Instead of checking out Arirang Korean Restaurant we just had dinner at Panda Express to have a simple meal.

Relaxing lunch of salmon salad at the Ikea store
I always find dining here so relaxing because of the view. Even if I am not hungry, I always end up eating just to have a reason to hang around in this area.

Inaya ko si Edmund magsimba kami. The mass had ended when we arrived. Puro Kababayan natin ang nadun. Filipinos are all over the world. If you are new to a place and feeling at a lost or alone in a foreign land, best way to meet kapawa Filipinos is to go to a church. Meron na silang community duon and easier for a new comer to immerse. You will have an instant support group. Pero kung hindi mo naman feel yang mga ganyan, just go for a visit, sit quietly in one of the pews and just have a quiet moment alone and with God. It could be relieving and relaxing. It can also be reassuring na “hindi ka nag-iisa”.

While we were driving on Las Vegas Blvd, I saw the imposing Stratosphere Casino and Hotel, aha, dyan na lang birthday dinner ko. I thought of holding the dinner at the Stratosphere. I haven’t been there and the view from the top must be fantastic. I mentioned it to Oyen and she said it was a good idea. I gave the restaurant a call and inquired about catering options. Yes, they do have a private room that would fit us all. They emailed me the menu list and the prices. $120 / person plus drinks plus taxes plus service charge. Lampas sa budget ko. Plus it was only the standard fare of soup, salad, chicken, dessert. Scrap na yan. One of this days aayaiin ko na lang si Edmund umakyat dun sa top nila.
5. From the church we proceeded to Chipotle for dinner. There are dozens of petty things that Edmund and I argue about but Chipotle is one common ground.
E- “ano order mo?”
A—“Kiddie meal”.
6. After an early supper in Chipotle, we went in separate directions at the Las Vegas Premium Outlet. We will meet at the fast food area after two hours or so.
I have no specific item in mind to buy. I am here only to accompany Mr. Yee, pero syempre maki-shopping na rin. “oh, wala kang nabili?” “Hindi ka nag-ikot?” I usually answer “mahina ang production”.
Syempre husbands prefer that their wives are happy shopping so we don’t bother them.
7. I am one female who is soooo lazy to buy cosmetics. I only buy out of necessity. Hindi ako mahilig. Most people think that I must have one luggageful of make-ups in my house. Naku hindi po.
I first went to the cosmetics store, kasi it’s near Chipotle. Forty percent off daw. Wow. I grabbed a bottle of Clinique moisturizer. Except that daw, no discount. Huh??? I bought two different kinds of Clinique moisturizer, yung isa $30 walang discount. Yung isa $66 with 30% off. Still cheaper than buying in Manila. I also deviated from my usual brand of blush-on and bought one stick of Smashbox cheek color. So far so good. I’ve been using it ever since. The color is light hindi gaanong halata, kunwari lang nagbilad ako sa araw, namula ang pisngi.
Instead of Mac again, why not try another brand? I was attracted to the colors of Tom Ford’s line of lipstick. Ang tagal kong pumili siguro mahigit kinse minutos. Tapos yung napili ko walang stock.
8. My clothes all look the same. This one’s from Max & Co.
9. Last January 7 I was awakened by a phone call from a boutique store asking if I wanted to see the chili color handbag that just arrived. They said it’s the 2018 color and I would be the first one to have that color and there were only 3 pieces of that color that were made by the factory. Although I wanted a more neutral color para madaling ternohan ng damit and shoes, sige na lang din. From the Tuscany Hotel, I took Uber to go to the store. Since then I’ve been on the look out for a chili colored dress that would match the color of my new bag. When I saw this frilly dress, baka kako pwede ito. It has pinkish-reddish color.
But the price is $750. Para yatang hindi naman terno. Chili is reddish orange, not pinkish. Cute pa naman itong dress. Parang pang-ballroom dancing.
10. I went to Saks 5th and found this white Lanvin dress hanging in the designer sale rack. From $3,800 it was down to four hundred something. I tried it on, nay ko po ayaw masara yung zipper kasi ang laki ng tyan ko. Although the size seemed a perfect fit, maliit yung size nya. Nahinayang ako. The style is very simple and it’s made in France. It’s seldom we see clothes NOT MADE by the space invaders.
11. After shopping at the Premium Outlet (I only bought a moisturizer and blush on), we went to have dinner at my husband’s favorite Chinese restaurant, Harbour Seafood located in Chinatown.
and had our usual order of yangchow fried rice and steamed white chicken. Dalawa lang kami, when we order a third dish hindi na namin kayang ubusin.
Mering libreng oranges and fortune cookies. Ang tamis ng oranges nila, medyo feeling makapal ako kaya I asked for a refill. They gladly gave us another plate.
12. As if hindi pa ako bundat sa busog, we swung by Lee’s Sandwiches along the same avenue to buy a few pieces of buchi (sesame balls).
13. May 21
My husband went to play golf so I had no driver today. I took Uber.
My husband was craving for pizza.
My husband and I will be in Vegas dec 14-16, I will take note of the Harbour Seafood, ma-try nga 🙂
