McDonald’s in Southwoods

It was fun to drive on Sundays because there are fewer vehicles on the road.
Edmund is usually hesitant going out somewhere far with us on Sundays except when he’s playing golf- kahit saan he would be happy to drive.

Last Sunday, the two of us went to Southwoods in Cavite. We left our house at 1:30 pm and by 4 pm we’re back.

There is an industrial area after Southwoods. We drove around looking for a suitable warehouse.

The streets inside the Southwoods subdivision are lined with mature trees. Very nice.

It was hot and sunny kaya we didn’t get off the SUV except when we stopped at McDonald’s.

Madaming pulubi. Syempre kawawa sila dahil walang pera pero nakaka-harrass din kasi nasa loob ka pa lang ng oto, naka abang na sila, tapos pagbaba mo, nakasunod na sila. Medyo nakaka agitate sila.

I gave this woman a five peso coin.

The interior of McCafe is like those in the US. Even the smell. But don’t go to the toilet on the ground floor.

E———— “Dun ka kasi sa Second floor na toilet, malinis”.
Omb———- “I didn’t know. May harang kanina yung hagdan”.

I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich. It had more crispy flour than chicken.

I bought another one but I only ate the crispy palaman. I didn’t touch the buns.
Omb————- “Tart, ibigay ko kaya ito dun sa namamalimos sa labas?”
E————– “Wag”.
Omb————- “Baka madisappoint, walang palaman?”
E————— “Mainis pa yun”.
Omb————- “Oo nga, minsan mas suplado pa sila sa atin. Pero sayang naman ito, malinis”.

I wrapped the sandwich nicely and inserted the unopened sachet of catsup. I took it with me.
When we went out, I gave it to this woman with my fingers crossed that she would not throw it back to me dahil walang palaman.

omb—————- “Tart teka bibili ako ng cone”
E—————— “Dito ka pa bibili, hindi pa dun kanina sa loob”.

omb————— “Tart, kinain ba?”

E—————– “Parang gutom na gutom nga”.
