While we were at Cashier number 1 paying, a woman approached the cashier and asked: “how much is that?” Yen and I looked at what she was pointing at. A giant white unicorn by FAO Schwarz standing on the cabinet behind the check out counters. What a lovely creature!
The woman left after hearing how much it was.
Oyen and I looked at each other and I said: “Do we want to buy that?” We touched it and oh my it was very soft.
Cashier—-“Do you want to get that?”
Me———“Hmmm, we’ll go eat first. In case that gets sold, do you have another one?
Cashier—–“I believe that’s the only one. Last year we had a teddy bear.”
Me——–“We’ll see if it’s still here when we come back”.
FAO Schwarz is a top quality American toy brand and store, known for its high-end toys including life-sized stuffed animals.
While we ate pizza, Oyen Googled FAO Schwarz unicorns for sale. That exact one was posted for a thousand dollars. That sealed the deal. It was 70% off and the one and only in the store.
After pizza, we went back to the store and grabbed that super adorable unicorn.
We were laughing and giggling while Oyen carried it to the door.
There was a dad who asked us “Did you buy that?”
He asked if he could take a photo of his kids with the unicorn”. Of course.
It was too big.
Medyo the neck got misaligned a little bit when we forced it to fit in the car.
A—-“I am going to name it Marshall”.
E—-“Bakit Marshall? Eh babae yan, pink ang buntot”
A and O —-“Parang lalake”
A—-It gives me the vibe na lalaki sya.”
E—-“Baka transgender.”
A—-“So hindi na Marshall? Marsha na lang.”
