Our 35th wedding anniversary celebration was full of fun and family love.
The laughter it created in our hearts made the little effort and big expense worth it. I achieved my goal of adding some good memories in our lives.
We had a few photos taken at the Paris casino floor after dinner. Oyen walked to Bellagio to say hi to her former MBA classmate. We couldn’t go out because it was freezing cold and my feet hurt, and my sandals broke! I didn’t wear something borrowed but my dress had some hints of blue color and my sandals were really old. I didn’t have time to buy a new pair of shoes for my wedding. I only realized how old my sandals were when the sole on the right split in half.
Fashion designer Amir Sali and his assistants did a great job in making this pretty and elegant dress in such short notice. It was okay even if they forgot to make a matching bag to hold my lipstick, perfume, and cellphone. The gown was comfortable and didn’t give me any discomfort the whole time. I just wished I had liposuction before this day to give the gown more justice. I bought a girdle from JC Penny but I totally forgot to wear it. It was only during the dinner when I realized oh my God I forgot to wear a girdle. Kaya pala ang laki pa rin ng tyan ko. But I didn’t think the girdle would make a difference.
Groom—“Tart buntis ka na!”
I love my sister so much. She will forever be my baby sister. Pero nung maliliit kami lagi kaming nag-aaway, siguro agawan sa laruan.
Thank you to our children Oyen and Nyke who happily played along in our desire to have fun. Thank you to Len and Bong for not minding the 10 hours drive back and forth to celebrate with us. Thank you to Kuya and Dimple for extending their stay to attend our mini wedding celebration. Your presence expanded our guest list to 4 which made the evening all the more fun.
Thank you to my groom who gamely agreed to marry me again! One would think that 35 years would be more than enough to discourage him. Walang kadala-dala.
Thank you too to the thousands of Oh My Buhay readers who celebrated with us from a distance. Although you never click like for some reason, thanks anyway for spending the time to read and enjoy this moment with us.
Congrats 🙂 i always read your blog entries though i don’t comment much. Beautiful wedding and beautiful family!
