I spent an extended merienda of two hours and fifteen minutes this afternoon with some of our country’s dedicated and sincere law enforcement officials. I enjoyed listening to their success stories. How they captured the spider man while he was withdrawing money from the ATM of their victim. How they rescued an old woman kidnap victim, putting in jail all 13 kidnappers. Tila sumakabilang buhay na lahat nung kidnappers. The old woman was walking from her house to her store in Taft Avenue when a van stopped and took her. One of the kidnappers was identified as her former employee who resigned after only two months of working.
Mag-ingat din daw yung real estate agents. Kasi a female agent was robbed and killed by 3 men posing as buyers. She recognized one of the guys as her neighbor kaya sya pinatay.
Their advice is NEVER to post provocative photos on Facebook. In their experience, most of the women who were victimized have posted sexy photos showing their cleavage, pouting lips a la sshhh, wearing bikinis, etc.
Over french fries and mini salmon cakes, I listened to them with admiration and respect. Thanks God there are still a lot of honest and dedicated officials who are true to their sinumpaang tungkulin.
