Merry Moo, Shi Lin, Podium

Today is February 9, 2013 and tomorrow would be our  family Chinese New Year gathering.
I have lots of things to do today but I feel like I have no energy. I woke up feeling cold, with a slight headache, para akong sisipunin.

8:50 am
I texted Marie and asked her to come to the house at 12 noon to assist me. I have actually agreed last night to let her take this saturday off, pero she agreed naman to come today.

9:30 am
I didn’t know what to eat for breakfast. I saw this fresh basil.

I microwaved 3 eggs, but I removed two egg yolks, mixed with fresh basil leaves. No salt, no pepper.
Half-way I thought of putting some gruyere. It’s good.

Marie came at 11:20 am. I made her prepare the games for tomorrow. She helped me prepare the 3 crowns.
Instead of Pinoy Henio game, we will have Chinese Food Genius. And the multiple choices A B C.
She was a big help, otherwise I would end up doing these things. My children have classes on saturdays. but Oyen promised to swing by National Bookstore to buy supplies for our games tomorrow.

While she prepares the Q & A portions for the games, I started decorating our house with Chinese motiff.

These are from last year, and the little dragon is Oyen’s. She found it in a flea market in Manhattan several years ago.

2:30 pm
I sent the driver to Dragon Fireworks to buy a box of Blessing in Heaven, an aerial fireworks display.
I initially arranged for their silver package which includes a technician but my cash was not enough when I went to their office cum store in Julia Vargas last friday. They charge an extra 12% for vat and 5% for credit card charges. Sobrang mahal na. They no longer accept credit cards kasi daw nung New Year ang daming nagbayad using fake credit cards. But since kilala nila ako, okay daw credit card pero plus 5%, ayaw ko nga.
So nagpabili na lang ako ng isang box today for P2,300. Meron na kaming sawa (judas belt) and fountains.

5:30 pm
Edmund arrived from golf.
Edmund———– “tart, tart”
Oh my God, Tyler poohed everywere, on the carpet and worst of all, in my sofa. “In” kasi tumagos na yung oo-oo nya.
Kunsumisyon talaga. Edmund and I spent the next 30 minutes washing the sofa cover, eh dapat dry clean yun pero we couldn’t wait anymore. Bahala na. From now on, Tyler is no longer allowed inside our house. dun na lang sya sa dirty kitchen.
He sleeps in Oyen’s room, ngayon bawal na, hindi na pwede.

I cut the inner cover so I could wash the rubber or foam inside. Kakainis ka Tyler!

Instead of me going to Farmers to buy fresh flowers, I sent two maids to do it, my detailed instructions were written on 3 papers. I also read them clearly , slowly, gave the money. And “tatawad kayo. Yung roses ang turing nila ay P350 per dozen, PERO ang kuha ko ay P180 lang”. Piliin ang bulaklak na sariwa pa, tanungin……. kasi nakaplastic, pag dating dito at tinanggal ko yung plastic, lagas na pala yung mga petals”. ‘OPO MAM”
At yung pandan, yung sariwa, dun bumili sa tapat ng nagtitinda ng sago.
“Opo Mam”.

6:00 pm
Awa ng Dyos, pag dating nila P350 ang bili dun sa per dozen ng roses.

At awa ng Dyos, pag alis ko nung plastic, lagas na yung mga petals. isang bundok na pandan ang binili, at bakit hindi amoy pandan? Kasi mukhang pandan pero hindi pandan.

I just have to accept it, I delegated the work. Kung ako ang nagpunta, I would have saved at least P500 pero napagod naman ako. Ngayon hindi ako nagpunta, hindi ako napagod, nahapo naman ako sa inis sa kanilang dalawa. Hmmp!

6:30 pm we went to mass, just Oyen, Edmund and I. My son went to play basketball in Xavier.

7:45 pm Podium, Living Well, Dinner at Shi Lin

Dessert, merry moo P75 per cup

Salted eggs ice cream. People have become so innovative when it comes to food. Kung anu-anong flavors.
If I want salted egg why would I eat ice cream? But I did. I ate this one cup.

I tasted the bacon flavor and did not like it.

9:00 home.

My son was already home and hungry kaya I cooked some food for him, mabilis lang. He looks sad.
Whatever it is that’s causing it would go away in due time. Might take a little bit more time depending on how he handles it, but eventually, he would be fine.
I implore the help and guidance of the Lord, to please keep him safe, healthy and happy.
