Metropolitan Hotel in Tokyo - Oh My Buhay

Metropolitan Hotel in Tokyo

I fell asleep immediately after we got on the bus. I was awakened only because we were already at the Metropolitan Hotel located in Nishi-ikebukuro which was an hour away.

The rooms have been pre-assigned. Kids are in room 1921 and parents are in room 1901. Edmund and I found our room too tiny but there are no more rooms available on this floor. Parang I was feeling claustrophobic but since I was dead tired, okay na lang din.

It has a nice view since we’re on the 19th floor

Their bath robes are shorter and more practical.

My three companions went out to have coffee right after we saw our rooms. They still have energy but me, I just chose to stay in bed. I didn’t want to wear layers of clothing again, it’s too tiring.

They came back after an hour.
I wanted to watch CNN but husband said there’s no English channel. Although it’s highly unlikely that a 4 star hotel has no cable channel, I just took his word for it, and nagtyaga kami manood ng Japanese programs. Sabi ko, pag-uwi natin, marunong na tayong maghapon.

I told edmund this is probably how it feels like to live in a compact condo. Mas bagay ito sa honeymooners. Kahit lagi kayong magka bangga okay na okay. It is even encouraged and intended, laging ayos ang buto-buto. But for Mr. E and Ms. A who’ve been together since the Japanese occupation, space is crucial to a peaceful relationship. Space as in capital ES. I approximated that it’s same size as one parking slot for my van. Edmund said baka daw masikip pa.
Our hotel room’s size is too small and not conjucive to romance. “Sweetheart, lumayo ka nga ng konti, ang sikip”.
