Michael Buble part 1

When I opened Oyen’s Christmas card with two tickets to Michael Buble’s concert in Manila, my first reaction was
Omb——-“I have no companion. Who’s going to watch with me?”
Oyen—–“Daddy”.

Edmund probably was taken aback by my question, eh di ba dapat sya? I wasn’t sure kasi if he would want to come with me. Many times in the past when I ask him to come with me to a concert, he’s not interested. He would go but out of obligation, not out of excitement.

Two concert tickets- Christmas gifts from Oyen

We hate going to MOA because traffic is always bad. A good two hours from Ortigas Ave. After one and a half hours of wiggling it out in EDSA:
E————-Next time ayoko ng manood ng concert sa MOA”.
Omb———-“Hindi naman kasi ako ang bumili ng tickets”.
E————“Oo nga, sinasabi ko lang na sa susunod wag na tayo dito manood”.

We arrived at 8:15 pm.    We didn’t watch the front act. After looking for our seats, we went out to the food section to get snacks.

I was attracted to Chick A Go’s big photos of fried chicken. I no longer looked for an alternative while Edmund went back and forth checking out what else was there.

I paid P450 for two orders of chicken fingers.

This is not worth the wait and not worth my P250. Sorry to say that, that’s from my own point of view. Makunat na and “wasted calorie intake” according to dieter’s parlance.

When I told Edmund a day before the concert that we should leave the house much sooner because of the heavy traffic, he said “hindi naman ganun kadami ang manonood”. Eto nga, hindi ganung kadami!!!

A woman held a placard that says “I ditched mid-term exams for Buble”. Her strategy worked. Michael Buble noticed her big time.  When he asked her if she really ditched her exams,  she said “ALMOST”.  Hindi naman pala.  She should have stuck to her story.   It was like,  ngeee hindi naman pala tutoo.

He has a great sense of humor. Unlike the traditional singers who just have standard hello and spiels, Buble was candid and spontaneous which endeared him more to the audience.
