Mirrors - Oh My Buhay

I made a quick visit to Ford Cainta. Just checking if everything is okay.
I noticed the mirrors on practically every female’s desk.

Our employees are so beauty conscious.

In Makati and in Edsa too, ganun din. The ladies spend more time looking at their faces. Maya’t maya talaga. They’re encoding, then they would glance at the mirror. They would stop working, fix their hair a bit, pout their lips, look at their teeth. Then start working again.

Even when I was a lot younger, It never became my habit to place a mirror on my desk.
Even now, whole day would pass without me looking at myself in the mirror. I only look at myself when I am attending an event after office. Kailangan pantay ang kilay at merong lipstick.
It would be counter productive if I would be too “face” conscious. Baka ma-depress pa ako.

  1. Some of my colleagues who have a mirror at their desk says it’s for them to see who is coming up behind them, para naman di sila mabigla.
