I lighted 4 candles and went to the altar this afternoon to express my gratitude to God.
Tomorrow is my birthday and all I could utter were thank you Lord, thank you Lord for all the blessings.
Looking back, God has given me more than my fair share of opportunities and blessings. If there were some hiccups it was mostly because of my own failures and or stupidity. And maybe some were meant to toughen me up.
It’s been quite a journey. There were some bumps high and low, but all my childhood dreams came true. God gave me much more than what I wished for. Sometimes I feel so sad about something and completely forget that there are a million reasons to cheer up.
Looking at the mirror, the wrinkles on my face remind me that I have been blessed with many years on earth. Many die young. Yet, I am given the chance to get old, be a wife, a mother, a grandma, a sister, etc. I hope it’s not asking for too much if I wish for 25 more years or 28 perhaps of healthy and happy life on earth.
