We have to be very cautious in investing our money with high interest schemes.

We’ve heard of many stories about people losing their lifelong savings, their retirements,  by entrusting huge amounts to people/ companies that give and promise huge returns-  5% a month, a week, 10% a month, 20%, etc.

Who doesn’t want to earn 20,000 every month on a P200,000 capital?  Syempre gusto ko rin.

Where do those people bring your money for it to earn tremendous profit?

Anong negosyo nila,  kung legal, pasukin rin natin di ba?   But the problem is 99.99% for sure, there is NO BUSINESS.  The  earnings (kuno) they give to you also comes from the money you gave to them.  Pinapasakay ka lang sa una so that when you have become so greedy, enjoying the so called interests,  your tendency is to put in more money.  Borrow from the bank or borrow from your relatives and friends.  Dagdag ka ng dagdag ng investment because you are thinking of peso signs.

P1,000,000 x 5% a month = P50,000 a month  compared to bank earnings of 2% a year.

P1,000,000 x 10% a month – P100,000 a month —-  wow

Meron ding

P1,000,000 x 20% a month = P200,000 a month.  Oh wow, wag na tayong magtinda ng kotse.

Time and again,  I will remind all of you, including myself, to be wary of this too good to be true schemes.

If it’s that easy to earn 10% a month,  siguro ang yaman ko na.  Hindi na ako nag-e-elecric fan.  Pati laundry area namin i-e-aircon ko na.

Another recent event:

He opted for early retirement from a multinational company.  He got a whopping P10,000,000,  nay ko po ang dami.   At first, he placed them in low interest savings accounts and some mutual funds.  Siguro naliliitan sa interests kasi nga he has no more salary.

He placed ALL OF HIS RETIREMENT FUND AND LIFETIME SAVINGS  into an investment scheme where he earns 20% a month daw.  Ang laki, super laki.

After a few months,  the people he was dealing with disappeared like Malaysian Airlines flight MH370, taking with them all his money and other peoples’ too.

His wife left him for the US taking their two children.    He lost everything.

No money, no honey.

He died from heart attack.  He died in a shanty.

  1. A very sad story, so let us remember the word of God in Proverbs 1:19 “So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; which taketh away the life of the owners thereof.”
