It was raining and heavy traffic around Makati. I told my daughter we better eat first before braving the potential two to three hours traffic along EDSA. I didn’t have any particular food or specific restaurant in mind. All I wanted was to dine in a very nice restaurant before going home. I told her I was not in the mood to eat in noisy and crowded places. I wanted to have dinner in a more formal and quiet setting. She suggested that we go to Shangri-la Hotel at the Fort. I didn’t want to because it would take us an hour just to get there because of the heavy traffic. I suggested that we eat in one of the restaurants at the Shangri-la Hotel in Ayala Center which was closer. She agreed.
We went to the second floor and ended up in Sage.
Oyen ordered truffle fries for our starter.
They served us complimentary bread and sweet potato fries.
I was already feeling full from the delicious truffle fries and free bread.
There were many menu choices but I didn’t know what to order.
For parties or group dinners.
Private room
Shared a small slice of rib-eye
We actually had lunch together at Fely J’s because we had errands near Greenbelt 5. Then we had this mother and daughter dinner date. We’re gonna get fatter.
Our bonding night’s finale number, cheesecake ice cream sundae.
When it was time to pay my daughter asked if I have a discount card. I don’t have hotel discount cards, I only have one issued by The Shangri-la Group that earns points but no discount.
