Father and daughter’s summer colors.
Sinigang na bangus for dinner and roast chicken with lechon sarsa. I bought the milkfish in Binangonan for P70 a kilo, a lot cheaper than Manila prices.
I bought some supplies from Home Depot in Ortigas Avenue. Pasig pala has a new mayor, Maribel Eusebio, but the surname is still the same, so technically, the same mayor pa rin. Their children’s children career paths have already been drawn. Iginuhit na ng tadhana as long as the surname is Eusebio.
I came home quite late the last time I went to Binangonan. It’s tiring din.
There are still several original Spanish style homes that remain standing. Some look like they’re about to crumble. I hope the owners restore the house’s original glory.
My shadow, while I walked from the gate to the garage lobby.
Good evening Lucy. She barks no more when we go in and out of our garage, unlike before. But our neighbor still complains.
Midnight comfort food for me— minatamis na langka with Carnation evap.
E———– “Tart, pumayat ka na?”
A————“Ayaw bumaba, pataas pa”.
When I am angry at my husband, I don’t get his coins.
Nonie’s version of chicken pork adobo with eklok.
After dinner dessert: maiz con hielo with evap milk.
A———–“Tart, gusto mong maiz don hielo?”
E———–“Nagda-diet ako…”
We have closed the Mazda Makati showroom effective April 1 and the showroom has been converted into Makati Ford’s new vehicle sales releasing area.
This family was so excited to bring home their Ford Fiesta.
My daughter warned me that money I lent to this guy is money I would never see again, still, I gave P5,000 to a former employee last month. He promised to pay me back this month. Instead, I received a message, he’s borrowing P5,000 again, last na daw yun. I haven’t replied to him yet.
Crying staff, she and a young male sales staff quarreled that morning over something petty but the fight turned personal.
Juju salad for lunch.
I got mad at them because last friday the box that they gave me was half-empty. Ang konti nung quantity. When I called, they told me to send it back. Abala and gastos sa gasolina. They don’t have customer parking. Sabi ko next time na lang when my driver goes there.
When my staff went, instead of giving me additional 1/2 quantity free of charge, they double charged me pa. I called and got mad at them. I told them to make sure orders are taken correctly kasi abala sa akin.
They apologized. While we were eating, their messenger came, with two cups of juice drink as peace offering and they also returned my P515.00.
I called and expressed my thanks. Thank you Juju. They’ve earned a lot of money from my daughter and I. We bought salad several times a week, not counting the home deliveries pa.
Yen and I went to Salcedo Park condominium. They have a nice club house on the 6th floor. The infinity pool looks inviting with the summer heat.
They have a gym, bar, sports facilities, lounge, meeting rooms. The place is nice but I don’t think I can ever live in a high-rise condo. Parang nasu-suffocate ako.
I like trees, flowers, birds.
The bank manager has a nice big watch. He told us he has a friend who sells watches at lower than store prices kasi daw she doesn’t pay taxes. Secret daw yan.
After lunch dessert, P25 Vanilla ice cream from Family Mart
Edna was Mazda Makati’s cashier for several years. Since we’ve consolidated our departments, we’re transferring her as HR/Admin Head.
I made a draft of Edna’s functions to clearly guide her on what to do on a daily basis. Her job is easy except that I have to make sure she has a checklist so she won’t neglect a single thing.
Ang haba pala, napagod ako pag type. And my printer ran out of ink. Kasi I made them so detailed, I wasn’t able to finish it, kaya I placed na lang in the last portion “and other functions that would be assigned by management”.
Included in her duties as HR is to monitor the tardiness of employees. I am a bit worried that she would be guilty of tardiness too because she has some health issues. She was diagnosed to have a stage 2 breast cancer. Luckily, her doctor sent her biopsy to the Roche’s central laboratory in Italy. Their results differed from the findings here in the Philippines.
They said her cancer cells were INACTIVE, meaning, wala naman syang cancer. Instead of the two million pesos chemo and other treatments originally prescribed to her by the other doctors, she now takes medicines to keep the cancer cells at bay. The capsules cost P8,500 a month if you buy from drug stores. She goes to PCSO every three months instead because she couldn’t afford that. Sometimes it would take her three tries before she made it to the line, but it’s worth it.
PCSO gives her medicine supply good for 3 months, which saves her P25,500.
Trust in the Lord Ms Edna He is your Great Physician and healer. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:4-5
