Traffic was bad as usual along Aguinaldo Highway. Weekends are the only time people get to pasyal so what do we expect? We wanted to eat in Balay Dako (again!) but we made a U-turn because of the heavy traffic. We had no direction, bahala na kung ano na lang ang makita namin. Our vehicle stopped in front of this bigger than carinderia bulalohan.
A—-“Dito na lang”.
Edmund wasn’t sure if this was a nice place. Eh gutom na ako. The minute we got off the car, we wanted to retreat. Oh oh. Medyo mainit sya at medyo-medyo. Edmund wanted to back-out. Ako naman, “dito na lang”. I was lazy to ride and drive aimlessly. Pinanindigan ko na lang.
This restaurant is not for the maarte, not for the sosyal, not for the suplada, not for the anak ni Don Ekong at Donya Ekang.
Bulalo, crispy pata, tawilis. Halatang gutom kami.
Most restaurants in Tagaytay coat the tawilis with flour before frying. We prefer it naked.
This restaurant gets a lot of diners. It may soon become another success story like Green ATS, Leslie’s, Bag of Beans, etc. However, I do not see ourselves going back anytime soon. Maybe in the very distant future.
