The construction of our neighbor’s house is finally finished. Hay salamat. No more noise and dust. We endured one year of banging steel, metal, and noisy construction workers.

The owner invited us to the house warming which coincided with his 77th birthday. See, even at 77 he still built himself and his wife a new home.

The house sits on a 1,600 square meter property that’s adjacent to ours. I could see his new house from our master’s bedroom window.

I pulled down the roman shades in Edmund’s bathroom and in mine because they could also see us.

There are three things daw that our neighbor loves— trees, birds and water.
They have a giant shell fountain.

The house’s style is modern and the interior is decorated with sculptures by Gabby Barredo, Orlina, etc.

This Holy Family displayed at the foyer on the second floor is my favorite among the many religious items that they have.

Every one he invited came according to the celebrant. We have common friends who were there too: Serge and Margie Ortiz-Luis, Tony Rufino, Sid, William Gatchalian and wife, etc.
Catering by Brasserie. The food was good. We had lechon, salmon, pasta, canonigo, sushi, etc.

Senator Cynthia Villar is a close friend of our neighbors. She’s very simple and unassuming.

This was the most relaxed party we’ve ever attended according to Edmund. Kasi we just walked next door. No traffic.

  1. Hi Ms A. I hope you become good friends with your neighbor and get to know them more. He looks calm and self-actualized naman. I hope he is wise and you can learn too from his wisdom.

  2. At the party, the wife gave a 15-20 minute speech about the life of her husband beginning from his childhood. From what I heard, he’s intelligent, smart, religious, generous. He rose from the ranks, becoming the president of Zuellig up until his retirement. When he won the P1,000,000 hole in one prize in Baguio, he donated the P500,000 to the Rotary Club’s charity project.
