I’m not fond of Chanel bags, but I do like their shoes and sandals. I have a pair of black sandals with bling-bling on the sides. I’ve worn this once at the dinner-dance in San Jose, California last October 2014.
Oyen was so wary when I was buying them because she was more than convinced that I would never wear the sandals. She had every reason to doubt because it’s true, there are several pairs of shoes in my shoe cabinet gathering dusts, never worn.
I need a few pairs of new shoes. Wala na akong maisuot na maayos.
Pero I am lazy to change shoes every day. Just like with bags, I tend to use the same one day after day. Tamad akong magpalit-palit to match the color of my dresses.
Oo nga pala, I also like their dresses and blazers. Long time ago, I had several Chanel dresses and blazers. The fabrics were thick and medyo itchy.
I only wore them when I was attending business functions abroad. I don’t know where they are now, nawala na. Alam ko mura lang bili ko dun. I bought them in multi-brand fashion boutiques in HK. Baka kaya imitation? Pero nakalagay Chanel.
Oyen naman likes the Chanel bags. Every time she travels, she goes to the Chanel boutiques. She’s looking for some specific color, style, model of bag. Lahat ng ituro namin hindi daw yun.
Hindi nga ako mahilig sa Chanel, I never went inside their stores until only recently, siguro mga two years pa lang. Only when I am accompanying my daughter. But when I am traveling alone, I don’t go to their stores. Kaya lang ako napabili nung step-in kasi Nyke and I accompanied her. That was in May last year.
There are two Chanel stores inside Ala Moana Mall. As usual, she walked in looking for a specific bag, and confident she would not find it.
I don’t wear Coco Chanel perfume.
While Oyen was speaking to the sales lady, I looked for a chair to rest on. The chairs were in the shoes section.
It was like ops teka, maganda ito ah. Miss, may I have size 7?
My son said they look like Cinderella’s glass slippers.
Sometimes shoes were only comfortable while I was trying them on at the store.
Pero pag-suot ko na sa actual event, ang sakit sa paa. Siguro kasi when I was still at the store, excited pa ako, I didn’t notice or feel the imperfections.
flat, medium or high heels…
I chose the middle one. It’s the last pair in the whole of Hawaii.
In less than 5 minutes, I scratched my credit card. I ended up buying a new pair of Chanel sandals. I had no intention to buy, I was only a chaperone, eto ako ang nagastusan.
I will wear this on my birthday. Saan naman ako pupunta? Wala naman akong party. Ayako ko ngang isuot sa office ito, baka madumihan.
Shoe cabinet, here she comes.
Hi OMB,
Love love love Chanel! Chanel for me is classic. Tell Oyen always go for the classic bag as it would never go out of fashion. Enjoy Hawaii! One of my favourite holiday destination. I love reading your blog. It’s always joyful to read all your food trip and your endless passion for bags. My husband thinks I’m a nutter as he sees me smiling whilst reading your blog. Stay pretty!
Hi Marife,
Thank you for your comment.
Oyen has been looking for that one Chanel bag that would make her heart jump in excitement.
Kind regards,
OMB
Those do look like grownup Cinderella slippers. I love the lucite heel and detail. I hope Oyen finds the bag she’s looking for. I know what that’s like when you’re looking for a particular bag. Buying another one will leave you wanting.
