She was recommended by a former masseuse of ours. She’s 30, separated from husband, with 4 children, didn’t finish high school because she got pregnant.
Her former employer was a caterer who lived in a house his maids called mansion and beside it was a small and older house which served as their catering commissary. She worked as an assistant cook and during her 6 months employment, she learned only one dish called Chicken Too or Chicken Two. Her classification is Ordinary Cook.
So far her cooking is okay. Her dishes are Filipino and okay lang naman.
Her pancake was okay too. She only had to add water in a ready pancake mix.
She already knows that I like drinking fresh buko juice. She relayed this information to a driver-on-testing kaya the other night, the driver told me “Mam, hindi daw kayo maka-inom ng tubig, kaya puro buko ang iniinum ninyo, dadalhan ko kayo ng buko galing Batangas, kaya lang wala akong sasakyan”.
She, together with two others, helped me place the ribbon and Christmas lights on the tree. She shocked me by jumping on my accent chair with both her feet landing on the upholstered seat “Mam, si Stitch kasi nangangagat”.
She started running when Stitch was playing in the living room and she ran towards our chair and jumped on it. I was too shocked to even react. Delayed re-action naman ako, after 15 minutes, gusto kong mainis. I just looked at her while she put back the throw pillow which fell off.
She’s been here for less than two weeks and the first time I gave her money for grocery, I discovered she bought some personal staff with my money. The other day, I sent her to the grocery. I asked where the receipt was, she said it was in their room. I asked again this morning, she said she accidentally threw it away. Now, I am not sure whether to trust her with money. How can I send her to the grocery or market again? Meron syang withholding tax.
Hi ms anne, learned that tess recomended these 2, its a coincidence that i regularly read ur blog, nars is ok, he stayed for almost 4 months with us and so far no bad record he was just very talkative and my parents are old na so they didnt like the way he answers when reprimanded..but may i verify some false information, the maid didnt come from our house, she came from my titas house (claimed old house) she did not became an assistant cook or anyway related with the catering service..but i suggest that dont trust her with money right away w money matters if thats the case, shes not that reliable w household work and she likes to watch tv alot. I hope this info helps you, thanks!
Hi Marge,
What a coincidence. she was brought here by Tess. Money- I actually suspected the first time I gave her a thousand pesos (testing) to get some stuff from the grocery. She used some for other stuff which I didn’t authorize, without telling me. The second time, I gave her money for groceries, when I asked for the receipt, she said she left it in the maids’ room. The day after, I asked for it again, she said she threw away the receipt. I asked for any sukli, she said she made abono pa daw.
You’re right, she loves watching tv.
Nars- his driving is okay but he doesn’t know the streets kaya I get tired telling him ikaliwa mo ikanan mo. His expectations are high. I gave him P12,000 + OT plus free meals. Trial lang sya actually bec I fired two of our drivers. I am not sure whether I like him or not. Tila mabait naman pero makwentahin.
Thank you so very much for sending me your message. I really do appreciate it.
