I finished watching tonight’s drama on tv but I don’t want to watch the evening news because there’s no good news and I am so turned off by the newscasters. The other day they were smiling while reporting that someone died from a motorcycle accident. I have seen this happened several times. They looked and sounded happy while reporting about other people’s miseries. Maybe they practice their facial expressions in front of the mirror. Maybe they think they look better when they smile a bit. A smile, when fake, looks like a smirk. When reporting a disaster or tragedy, newscasters don’t have to shed tears, but at least be respectful by not looking like you are smiling. Maybe there’s no intention to offend, but My God, show some compassion, sensitivity AND SINCERITY.
