Thousands of tourists flocked to the sidewalks along Las Vegas Boulevard and waited for at least two hours for the Independence Day fireworks that never came. One of the cashiers at CVS told me earlier that there would be fireworks coming from Caesars Palace. I took her word for it. I went out to The Strip at exactly 8:30 pm and waited till 10 pm. People started thinning out when some Americans started saying that the fireworks were held last Sunday. I was watching Ricky Martin’s concert last Sunday night.
Reding-ready pa naman ako sa get-up. I bought a green Las Vegas cap last week but even before I was able to wear it, I lost it. Sayang I paid $7 for it. I bought again from CVS, this nice pink one. It’s more expensive at $9.99 plus tax. Nakikiuso.
Nasayang pagod ko pag-intay. Nirayuma na ako. I waited at the CVS door to have some airconditioning but standing for more than an hour triggered my rayuma. I sat on the pavement. Two young Americans wearing Las Vegas tourist info uniform asked me If I needed help, baka tumawag ng 911.
