August 25, 2013 Sunday
Edmund has a golf tournament today in Forest Hills. Their team has entered the semi-finals and they are excited to be the champion.
The kids and I went ahead to Tagaytay and he would follow later in the day.
It was drizzling when we left Manila at 11:30 am.
Trips out of town with the kids are always fun. Tagaytay is considerably near so going there even just for the day is easy.
We started frequenting Tagaytay when they were still little, spending a lot of time at the horseback riding area near Taal Vista Lodge Hotel. How time flies…When they became older, going to Tagaytay sometimes depend on their mood. They begin to ask “what are we going there?”
But today is extra special because we’re spending Edmund’s birthday in Tagaytay. We went through several choices like staying at the Fairmont or Raffles Hotel in Makati. But we opted not because we would most likely just end up in the malls in Makati.
Tagaytay would be better. so here we are, on our nth trip. Maybe 100th (exaggeration).
Traffic was light.
We’re only staying for a night so we just brought individual bags. I used the MCM tote bag for the first time. This came from the Global Summit in Malaysia.
I always bring pillows and blankets on out of town trips. Sometimes it gets too cold inside the car. And kids fall asleep.
We made an unexpected stop at the Caltex gas station because someone drank too much liquid before leaving home.
We Filipinos pronounce this Shatel.
We saw a cute dog tied up to the post. My kids have a soft heart for cuties. They can’t just ignore them.
Excited to reach Tagaytay for the 100th time to celebrate Edmund’s birthday.
