Finally, our room at the Old Course Hotel was ready by 3 pm. We were given room 216 on the second floor but actually that’s the 3rd floor if I were to count the floor levels.
After entering our room, in just a few minutes, Edmund arrived. He was done golfing for the day and would like to spend time with us and for dinner instead of joining the pre-arranged dinner for golfers at Hotel du Vin.
I wasn’t impressed with the room and the toilet was a bit small for the two of us. We liked our toilet at Hotel du Vin better because it has a large shower although no bath tub. But who use bath tubs nowadays?
The main reason why Edmund and I liked this hotel the very first time was the impressive view from our room 126. It had a wide and tall bay window which made our room more maaliwalas, brighter and it made the room feel more spacious. The window here in room 216 is not bay.
The rooms fronting the Old Course Golf Course are more expensive than regular rooms, naturally. I think by around 100 British Pounds per night or more depending on the season.
The hotel opened today and we are the very first occupant of this room.
One new feature of this newly renovated room is the presence of USB ports for easy charging of phones and other gadgets.
