1. Edmund and I’s default food. Pag hindi namin gusto ulam, Spanish sardinas and gourmet tuyo na lang.

2. Tagaytay hotel duty Manager—–“Please sign, kindly check if this is your telephone number”.
Omb———“No, that’s not my number”.
Omb——–“Miss, hindi ako si Abigail Panlilio”.

3. Omb———-“Igawa mo ako ng banko, dalawang metro ang haba. Two meters”.
Carpenter——“Mam, bale ganito ang design na gusto mo? Twenty meters ang haba”.

4. Omb——“Tart, I want Dip n Dots. You want?”
E shook his head.
Omb——“Yogurt ka?”
E shook his head with some ngiwi.
Omb—–“Miss, isang Banana Split”.
Dip n Dots sales lady —–“Mam meron kaming strawberry, mocca…”
Omb——“Banana split lang”.
Sales Lady——-“Pwede mam kahit tatlong flavor”.
Omb——-“Banana split”.
Sales Lady—–“Gusto nyong i-try yung magong flavor namin?”
Omb——-“Miss, sinabi ko na, Banana Split”.

5. I am addicted to truffles. I put it on every dish, kahit chicken ni Antonia.

I inhale it all the time and it makes me high.

6. We couldn’t understand what he was talking about kasi he was reading his sermon fast and impassioned.
E——-“Is he reading it?”
Omb—–“yes”.
E——-“He’s so boring”.

Priest——“Siguro sinasabi nyo BORING naman ang pari.
A——-“Hehhehe tart, narinig ka”.

Priest—“Ang sermon ay hindi entertainment, hindi Eat Bulaga”,

7. A——“Tart, may bumibili ba nito?
Nung araw itinatapon na ito, gula-gulanit na”.
E——-“Uso yan”.

E—–“Ano ito? Kurtina?”
A———“They’re not going to put it there kung walang bumibili nya. Nasa harap pa. Uso yan summer floral dress”.
E——-“Sino naman ang mag-susuot nyan?”
A——-“Yung mahilig sa flowers”.

9. Oyen bought a ready made gown that fit her body perfectly and was so comfortable. She wore it last Friday night to her high school classmate’s wedding party at the grand ballroom of the Shangrila Hotel in Makati.

10. She brought home a floral centerpiece from Lorraine’s wedding reception.
A——–“Ang ganda. Antonia spray-an mo ng tubig”.
Antonia–“Ilubog ko mam”.

11. I forgot to send the driver to Binangonan last Friday to pick-up the newly harvested sineguelas from our trees. It was only yesterday morning that I remembered, only after Edmund asked me if the driver from Binangonan picked up the sineguelas.
Sobra na sa hinog.

Edmund likes them crunchy while I like them hinog, red and juicy. Nung nanliligaw pa lang sya sa akin binigyan nya ako ng sineguelas, piling-pili, ang lalaki at matamis. Tila after that hindi na yata naulit.

Nung kinagat ko yung isa, yung juice sumirit at umabot dun sa pinggan ni Edmund. Ang layo nya, about 30 inches away. Juicy talaga.

12. The European countries always come up on top with regards to being livable or best cities to live, to retire, to raise a family. Metro Manila or the Philippines always land somewhere in the bottom, and yet we are still living here.
Why? There’s no place like home. We love our country.

13. One kasambahay (house cleaner) left this morning. Her 55 year old mother suffered a major stroke last week after going to her kalapitbahay to make kwentuhan. Eh super init, hayun, na stroke.

Notice the green Crocs she’s wearing. That’s from Oyen, they have the same shoe size.
