Danger in Blogging - Oh My Buhay

The big danger in blogging more specifically publishing ones’ life story out there in the open is when bad guys or bad meaning people get to read it. But there’s also something good that comes out of it, without me realizing it in the beginning. That Oh my buhay could bring me new friends. Total strangers who just found me out of nowhere. They are well meaning people who generously share their time by coming into my life thru OMB. Day after day, they read whatever I post, even if those things do not have any relevance in their lives, even if my posts are kung anu-ano lang. They wait for my every blog. They wonder what happened to me when I fail to update my online diary.

They laugh when I am in the mood to humor myself, they also cry when I am troubled. T My days become better because they include me in their daily prayers. My family has become their family.

One of those readers is Pam. She never missed a post, and never failed to wish me a good day. She goes out of her way to comment and share her thoughts with me. Unfortunately, kinunsumi ko sya last week.

Aside from Epza, I also wanted Pam to join me for a simple dinner at our house last Wednesday. I thought I sent her the email, then another name answered, Ems. I wasn’t actually 100% sure if I was communicating with the same person. I thought, if they are two different persons, okay lang din because they’re both my loyal readers.

Ems confirmed her attendance, and gave me her cellular number. I saved it but totally forgot about it.
I was busy the whole day Wednesday, It was already late afternoon when I realized I haven’t given our address to Epza and Pems. With full confidence, Epza just drove to Ortigas Avenue not knowing exactly where I lived. It was a leap of faith on her part. She made it, my other guest did not. And it was all my fault. Pam or Ems waited for my call or text. Me naman I sent her an email instead around 5:30 pm, not remembering that I already have her cellular phone number. After that, I did not email again because I was busy getting ready, nakipagkwentuhan ako sa anak ko, tapos I gave instructions to the maids, then Epza came.

It was 9:30 pm when I received an email from Ems. She said she waited for my confirmation which never came, so she thought the dinner was off. She mentioned that she has given me her number. I immediately dialed her number, she didn’t pick up. The next morning, I tried contacting her again and she didn’t pick up her phone. I also messaged her, inviting her over for lunch but there was no answer.
My husband told me nagtampo na yun. Sigurado. If that kind of situation happened to me I would also be very upset.

I sincerely apologize to you Pam. The invitation to come for lunch, merienda or dinner still stands. Sana mawala na ang tampurutot mo. I look forward to meeting you in person.
