1. Ooohh stress layuan mo ako!

2. Naluha ako the other night, I was dead worried about the consistent pain on my left chest. Baka kung ano na ito. I will have it CT scanned next week. I don’t want to die yet. I want to live strong and healthy up to 80. Baka kaya sumasakit gawa nung technician sa St. Luke’s Global, inipit ng sobra kahit nagsisisigaw na ako.

3. I’ve always wanted to have a panini sandwich press. I got one but this is 110V so I’ll leave it here. I bought it at Sears. The Filipina cashier was friendly, sharing me bits and pieces of her life even if we’ve only met for two minutes. She told me her son, 28, bought a sports car, a Mustang, even if she advised him to buy an ordinary sedan. She asked me where I work, where I live, etc. She couldn’t believe that I have a grown up daughter and son. #prescriptionglasses

4. While I was walking back to my car, I heard the fire truck’s
siren. Someone inside Smart and Final called 911 and the firemen arrived first. I think they were trained to administer first aid. I wanted to interview them pero they all looked serious.

5. We are going home with additional excess pounds from all that eating.

6. While I was ordering food at the Chinese buffet restaurant, I noticed that the female manager was a little distracted. Then she told me she could smell my perfume. She’s pure Chinese. Her English sounded Chinese.
Manager—–“I can smell… youl… smell. It’s smelling good. What you smell?
Omb———“Lanvin”.
Manager—–“Huh? Layt it down”.
Omb———“Okay”.
Manager—–“You bought it flom Macy’s?”
Omb———“No, I bought it in Paris”.
Manager—–“Not Macy’s??
Omb———“No, Paris”.
Manager—–“Par ris? Why not Macy’s?”

7. Edmund bought a pot of mint and rosemary from Smart and Final. Ang sarap amoy-amuyin. My favorite’s the rosemary, naha-high ako.

8. I bought a new set of cotton bed sheets. I wasn’t sure about the design, parang hindi maganda, pero nung inilagay ko na, natuwa naman ako. It looked clean and parang ang sarap humiga. I wasn’t sure if the design is suited for for my son or for my daughter. For men or for ladies. Or UNISEX. Hindi na yata Unisex ang tawag ngayon. Multi-sex, duasex, All gender. Common gender.
For all mankind.

9. There’s a new popcorn brand, Cornology. I wanted to patronize their business so I bought a small pack– two flavors, cheese and truffles.

The smallest pack didn’t look small. It’s good for three people.

10. Every time we’re driving through Freeway 880, we always ended up talking about my father. Reminiscing our visits here when he was still alive. When my daughter was 3. My father was the one who first brought us to Levitz, the big furniture store in San Leandro along 880. So every time we’re around the area, we always remembered those days when we would go to Levitz. Not to buy, but to enjoy looking at the hundreds of furniture settings at their sprawling showroom. Manghang-mangha kami. Levitz sadly bowed out of business years ago. Kasi siguro hindi kami bumibili, tingin lang ng tingin.
