1. One PAL passenger saw a fabulous looking Filipina passenger. He told his companion, “pare kamukha ni Hello Kitty”.

If someone says you look like hello kitty, is that good or bad?
Good if he means you are cute like a kuting. Bad if he means you look like an inahing pusa.

2. I look like a cat in this photo taken at the hallway of Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel’s 16th floor, steps away from our room, 1657.

4. When I was a lot younger (20 years ago), I was attracted to the HK people’s lifestyle. I thought this was a nice place to live. Cars were not necessary, I didn’t have to cook, everything was accessible.
That’s what my son feels now. He likes to live here or work here. I understood where that was coming from. I felt the same way when I was younger.

HK is nice only because we stayed in nice hotels. But ordinary people in HK live in very tiny rooms.

I actually felt relieved when they didn’t have my size. This is made in China and the price tag is P12,000. I don’t want to contribute to China’s wealth.

7. Our suking money changers disappeared.

Money Exchange sign board

Their spots are now occupied by Western Union who gives the lowest exchange rate to a US dollar.
US100 = HK$ 701. Other foreign money changer give HK$765. Big difference. Pwede ng pangkain yung $65 sobra pa. Nawala na yung suki namin from Bombay, 7.85 sa kanya. Napalitan na rin sya ng Western Union. Where did they go?

Do you know that you can actually negotiate the rates? I saw a sign for HK$7.5 to one US dollar. I told the woman I am going to exchange US$100 if she gives me 7.65. One second, two seconds, she said yes.

10. We were both tired of walking. We went up to the 7th floor of an old building and had foot massage HK$88 for 30 minutes plus 5 minutes foot bath. I’ve been to this spa kuno twice before, with Oyen.

Make sure you ask first how many minutes. The woman said 40 minutes but the massage was only for 30 minutes. When I called their attention that we’re missing 10 minutes, kasama daw yung pagbabad ng paa sa water.
