1. I suggested to my colleagues at the Women’s Business Council of the Philippines not to schedule board meetings on mondays or on the first working day after a long holiday. Syempre we need to go to the office.

Our meeting was at the Tower Club (Feb 9)

To save on time, we went for the restaurant’s dimsum buffet. Maymay and Atty. Dick Du-Balabad loved the chicken feet. Me naman I had yang chow fried rice and siomai.

3. Yen and I had a quick lunch on Feb 10. Our lunches together are mother-daughter bonding. We talk about many things, fashion, shopping, personal problems, tsismis, travel plans, etc. We consciously try to avoid talking about work.

We each took a bite then had this pancake wrapped for our driver.

4. I went to Mercury drug in Greenhills to buy medicines.
As I get older, my medical expenses go up.

The OB-GYNE prescribed to me EVISTA tablets to be taken indefinitely. I bought a box but I haven’t started a dose. It’s a once a day tablet and costs almost a hundred bucks each.

5. I went inside the tiangge area. I bought my son a pair of cotton pajamas for P200. I didn’t ask for a discount. Normal price nya dapat P180 lang. I will go back soon to buy four more pairs. Puro butas na pajama nya.

6. This Phantom drone is sold at the tiangge. Imagine it could reach a vertical height of 5 kilometers. That’s super dangerous for aircrafts.
We admire this new invention but this is a double-edged sword technology. It could be used for the wrong reasons, other than taking a photo of you and your lovey dovey necking on top of Machu Picchu in Peru.

7. I saw a white Ford Everest on display in Greenhills. That’s Ford EDSA’s territory. No other Ford dealer is allowed to tress-pass.

8. Feb 10 Wednesday
My term as village corporate secretary has ended but no one wanted to take my place. So I am now a hold-over officer. I hate our board meetings because it’s at 8:30 pm. I just walk from our house to the admin office where we hold our meetings.
Pangako Sa’yo was ending and I didn’t want to miss the last three episodes.

9. I was too early, it ‘s only 7:45 pm. I was the first to arrive. Our secretary also left. I’ll read muna the Daily Inquirer.
Huh bakit Miss Universe pa rin? Kailan pa ba ito? January 23!!

Our agenda is the same month after month. No one else among the residents wanted to serve the board kaya kami lang every year. We started the meeting at almost 9 pm. I kept on glancing at the wall clock, as if I didn’t have a watch. Kasi naman Pangako Sayo would be ending na.
